The Wynnum Redlands Canoe Club has brought home 20 medals and a string of personal best times from the National Sprint Championships in Perth. Kayakers won five gold medals, nine silver medals and six bronze medals. The eight member team from the Thorneside-based club competed in the single (K1), double (K2) and four person (K4) events in their age groups. The team members were David Bicknell, Jack Bicknell, Jonathan Gray, Lauren Peters, Samantha Parker, Gabrielle Parker, Sophie Butler and Ryley Ivanisevic.
